Still Want Rivera Gone

Slow start -  bad decisiions - end of the season gargage wins against garbage teams -  I want Rivera fired yesterday.  In a perfect world I would never expect him to out coach top tier coaches and we do not have and  can not afford the players to out play most teams - Rivera has to go or we will be the perennial losers we have always been.  This is the bald fucing truth.

agree. i want the playoffs as bad as anything, but one of my biggest fears is beating a terrible cardinals team and making a deep run and securing ron's mediocre ass for the next half decade.

It doesn't matter how the season finshes, Ron isn't going anywhere.  Even if we lose, he'll be our coach in 2015.

Still have not passed judgment. He Has this team playing Football right now. If they can nut up and win a playoff game I'm all in. The cavent is I still feel STs and OC need to be upgraded.

I don't see Rivera as our biggest problem. I think Shula needs to go but the defense is playing better and I am not all too excited to bring someone new in that brings a different defensive style.

Rivera has the respect of the locker room. You have the respect of your players they will play for you.

Get us an imaginative offensive coordinator and you will see Rivera having an easier time making decisions.

Maybe Riverboat Ron stays if he has confidence that his offensive coordinator won't fug it up and burn him for not making it on a 4th and 1.

some people are so committed to the rivera vitriol that I'm afraid it could get to point where we hear "well, rivera has ONLY won 3 super bowls out of the last 4 years... still want him gone.  Do you think we can get Butch Davis?"

Team plays hard for him. They love him. They want him to be the coach.

 

he's gonna frustrate us, sure, but I think firing him might demoralize the team.
