Kony Ealy Development

We pretty much hauled in a starting WR, DE, RG, and CB in the draft...and maybe a starting FS down the road.

Not to mention scooped up what it seems to be non-one-hit-wonders and potential mainstays at LG and WR3/4 in the UDFA class.

It really was a good play. Not great, but good. And needed. Slowly but surely he's getting better. He received a lot of praise I felt was unwarrented early in the season, but now I'm sincerely seeing progress. The kid is willing to learn and plays his tail off. Good signs.

I likem!

I think some of y'all are really underselling Hardy.  Kony has improved, but I still haven't seen anything that leads me to believe he's going to be he player that Hardy is.  If you watched a young Hardy you could just tell the guy was going to be a beast as long as he put in the work.  He didn't rack up the sacks, but he was still all over the place as a rookie... deflecting passes, being one of our best STers, blocking kicks, stuffing plays behind the line, and just in general being involved in plays around the ball.  Kony has just kinda been there.  Granted, he has improved lately.

I think Ealy can be good solid player for us, but I feel like you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you're expecting him to be as good or better than Hardy.  Hardy turned into a true elite DE over his last two seasons with us.  Even when he was still here and it was obvious that he had surpassed CJ a lot of fans tried to undersell Greg's talent and say he only did good because CJ was on the other side of him.  Don't understand it.

Honestly, I fuging hate that we're going to lose the guy.  He's too damn good to just lose and get nothing in return.
