Winners and Losers from Miami game

Jarrett and McCown losers. Jarrett is invisible and McCown is...well terrible. I hope we see Cantwell next week, To be honest I think the #2 QB could be his his if he plays worth a damn in the next two games.

Honestly if Moore doesn't get the 2 spot at QB this year then he should be gone.

Ron Meeks just complacently accepts not having a good run defense. It's nothing new in his system. What bothers me is how bad the pass defense is. What the hell was that defensive coverage on Ronnie Brown called? All in all, good game though for the Panthers. Nick Hayden will be gone this week, so will the following:

Jason Carter

Geissenger...or whatever the hell he's called

C.J Wilson

Munnerlyn...This boy is slower than Mark Jones, and slow for a CB

Leman.....Slow

Landon Johnson....it's been a good run...NOT

Morty Ivy

Ryne Robinson.....Come on Man....

Larry Beavers.....You're not welcome to the big leagues

whoa man. i dont think they even make cuts until after next game. Cap is slow?

I doubt even 3 qb's get in the game, the starters will play into the 3rd quarter, unless they go straight to HC after Jake.

Generally, the biggest thing I have noticed about the defense is they seem hesitant and occasionally confused. I think they are still figuring out the new scheme, so I am hoping that by the time the season starts, they will have it down pat....hoping.

Maybe too much emphasis on stripping the ball that they bypass the most important fundamental...TACKLING.

I'd rather see Cantwell the next two games. We know what were getting with Moore and McCown.

I would like to see him too. In the fourth game for sure he will get some run. Either Fox isn't impressed with him enough in practices to give him a real go, or he doesn't want him to be discovered so he can be stashed on the PS.

Connor and Anderson impressed me the most last night, with Lehman getting honorable mention, too. And I thought Munnerlyn's return showed what the guy is capable of if he's coached up and given the chance. Finally, you gotta love Mike Goodson. I think he's a very strong third RB with the versatility to fill in on ST, too. But man, Connor looked to me like a much younger version of Dan Morgan. Gotta love his motor!

Last season Loser: Godfrey

Preseason Game 1 Loser: Godfrey

Preseason Game 2 Loser: Godfrey

.......Fox needs to wake up and realize his mistake instead of admitting to it after the entire world has already caught on. No reason Godfrey should be our starting S imo.

    • If he was a vet or had 3 years of full playing time in college, it would be different, I'd lean more on the side of caution.  But this is someone who now over the last 4 years, has really only played in games for one of them as he had 51 combined carries his first two years in college. If he wants to reach his potential, he needs reps and he needs them this year, he can't miss another year without meaningful game snaps. The knee is structurally sound at this point being a year out from injury and today's tech/rehab capabilities.  Sure his lack of game shape could lead to pulled muscles or something, but it's not going to put him at risk of a more serious injury to give him 10-15 carries right out of the gate. Also, we need see what he's got, to know if he's going to be able to handle a 3 down role next year before the offseason.  Because if he can, then we shouldn't be re-signing Hubbard as he's earned a decent contract from someone next year.   We can't give that out to a guy who will end up being a backup to someone on a rookie deal, it's a place we can save money to spend elsewhere for a few years, as we could get a much cheaper backup option in free agency or even draft someone else in like the 5th round to be his backup and really save money at the position.
    • Imagine if we have a defensive draft next year that's just as good...
