Show some love for the best Rock band since Nirvana

I was always a fan of Our Lady Peace. I don't think they got nearly the recognition in the U.S. they should have gotten, especially in their early years. Naveed, Clumsy, Happiness ... Is Not a Fish That You Can Catch, Spiritual Machines, and (to some extent) Gravity are all really good albums. I didn't really care for Healthy in Paranoid Times, and I haven't heard any of their last two albums.

As some have said though, music is personal preference and what you connect with. I'm not one to diss anyone's musical choice. I may not like it, but I won't put it down.

Broken without Amy Lees awful voice is so much better and I'd argue 'Fine Again' has been Seether's biggest hit.

I looooooved Seether's first album. I have no idea why you're posting all the radio popular songs when those are the worst; they have so much better ones on that album like 'Needles' my favorite, and 'Your Bore' the next best, two best songs they've ever made. 'Driven Under' was popular but was also my favorite. Broken was good before the masses gobbled it up and Amy Lee destroyed it.

That said, like most bands these days after the first 'creative' album everything that comes after sucks. I bought a Seether CD before they were on the radio and it sucks to see them become mainstream and commercialized.

But just remember no one is famous or trying to make money or become famous with their first album, that's why it's always the best. Just creative individuals doing what they love, the pure form of the band.

Everything after Disclaimer is garbage from Seether in my opinion.

And lol comparing them to Nickleback and Creed. I hate Both those bands, and it's not even close. Then again I've actually listened to full albums of all three bands and not just gobbled up what they put on the radio and talk out of my ass like I know wtf I'm talking about.

I don't think Seether is the next best alternative rock band though, corse I don't think Nirvana was one of the greatest either. But it's all about your taste and it's all good to me.

Everyone has different tastes in music, you guys have some sort of superiority complex? There is no such thing as bad and good music, just tastes and opinions. Get over yourselves, you're not as cool to everyone else as you are to yourself.

I can agree with bits and pieces of this.

I'm a big fan of them too.

Just bumping this thread, Seether and Ten Years are going to be at the Filmore this Friday, here in Charlotte.

I thought Ten Years' first album was amazing, the rest not so much.

Never seen either live, I cannot fuging wait!

Seether should not be discussed without their less popular poo, their radio songs are what I feel has ruined what people think of them. They have some good songs in my opinion.

I've got all of Seether's CD's and I like their radio stuff just as much as the "too cool for the room" stuff you're talking about.  Their melodies and song writing hasn't changed a whole lot over the years....it just got "softer".  And you know what?  That's fine.  I've gotten older and I guess I've gotten softer too.  I used to listen to crazy poo like Danzig, Overkill, Death Angel...on and on and on...but I'm not into that stuff any longer.  And to be honest I'm not even sure why I was into that stuff in the first place.
