Todd McShay's First Mock Draft

At 10 the Panthers will take the best player available regardless of position.

LT has to happen...it has to be upgraded, be it free agency or draft...it simpley has to happen.

The Panthers will win at least one of the last 2 games and they will move lower in the draft position, go for someone smart and mean, like the Peat kid from Stanford.

Peat is staying in college.

I said the same thing last year during the draft when Zack Martin's name would come up, and I'll say it again about Scherff.

If there aren't any better or more prototypical LT's there, still give me the guy who can either be a good RT, or an All-Pro guard. I know, I know, Guards in the top 10 are silly. But, remember when Amini was playing? I'd rather have a dominant Pro-Bowl guard at 10 instead of trotting an Amini level guy out and maybe busting on a WR with that pick.

That said, I like Turner and Norwell enough at this point to look solely for an OT (still could be Scherff), WR, or Collins if we're picking Top 10.
