Couple things on the Stew fumble play.....

That's why I am saying you don't know the scheme that was called. If it was an inside run, Bell did what he was supposed to do. You can see an extra block on the TB number 45 (looks like one of our TE acting as a FB) to the inside. And the WR is not even attempting to engage the CB to block him. All this and Bell's technique tell me it's an inside run. When the running back cuts it to the outside, you can't blame Bell for "not sealing the edge" just like you can't blame Kalil for his assignment recovering the fumble.

Great post pimp.

Your comments are a great example of how we jumpt to conclusions about who blew what on a particular play.  Like you said, Bell could have done exactly what he was supposed to do on this play.....or not.  We (idiots watching the game) have no real clue......we just like to think that we do.

If anyone at all had blocked the guy who actually made the tackle it would have very likely been a TD, Selective blame is pretty clear cut around here these day.Perhaps it was a broken play but seems Brown should have been attempting to block someone with the play going that direction.

If the play relied on a crucial block from the WR on that side, then Brown should have been the last guy to put out there.

Yes he's obviously got speed, but he still has to get his weight up for the NFL.

That's on coaches, you use your personnel to their strengths.
