Please pray for my grandmother

Got an update last night. She will be leaving the hospital in a few days, but will be going to a "rehab"center, or nursing home if you will. My 70 year old Mother is just not able to take care of her any more. I feel bad because I cannot be there for her, but she has a strong support group with my Mother, Sister, and Brother there to take care of her.

Another update:

She has stopped eating, and they called hospice yesterday. It looks like she is in her final days. I think she is ready to go see her husband of 50 years. I will miss her greatly but I know she has lived a long and full life. Thank you again for all of your prayers.

96 years is a long time to be alive.

Be strong man, she was very lucky to live a very long life and you'll see her again above some day. My prayers out to you.

96 is an achievement.  You've been blessed.  Spend time with her...I know it's hard but it's the one commodity she's dealing with now.

I would love to be able to spend time with her, but I live in another country.

My sister said her breathing is becoming labored, and she probably will not make it through the night.

My girlfriend has done some hospice work. I've seen her with patients. Seeing how people face the end can be very humbling.

I was holding my mom's hand when she passed, but I put off seeing my dad the day before he died. Said I'd go see him tomorrow. There wasn't a tomorrow.

I feel for ya, man. Prayers from me.

My granddad was ready to go but it's sad for everyone else. He was bed ridden but only like the last three days. My dad stayed with him the week he was on hospice. Went in the day before he passed and just told him it was ok and that he would take care of my grandmother. The next day he was gone. I was supposed to go get his prescription and bail. They weren't ready so I had to wait. It was such a good thing to be there for my grandmother. It's not easy on us but for her to go peacefully and on her terms is best. Praying for you and your family shark.
