Now that I have sports south im able to catch a lot more Hornets games, Lance is definatley a weak link and looks loke a terrible fit for is, he just has no chemistry and is just bad. Also, why are we so terrible at offensive rebounds, damn the NBA lottery for screwing us out of Anthony Davis, damn it to hell!

Yeah I'm still so pissed off about that. The worst team in NBA history(that wasn't even tanking on purpose) deserves the #1 pick. It's such bullshit.

WFNZ's Kroeger asked Stern the question directly and instead of saying "No" he goes into "I'm a lawyer and that would be a crime" or something like that. Good one Dave! Wink, wink

I truely believe that is single handily what holds the NBA bsck from being close to popular as the NFL, people love the NFL because every fan of every team feels they have a legit shot that "this year is their year" its things like a rigged draft lottery that really hinders that feeling that every NBA team is on even ground and have a legit chance at a playoff run.

The fact that Anthony Davis was seen wearing a Hornets hat days before the draft and him saying he wanted to play in Charlotte makes it hurt even more. :(

If a team really wants to take that huge of a risk of tanking, being the butt of jokes and upsetting a lot of fans for a number one pick that could either be the next Lebron or the next bust like Greg Oden, that should be their choice, not every first overall pick is a sure fire star. I loathe the draft lottery system with a deep passion

The draft lottery system exists because in the NBA there are only 15 roster spots, so the impact a single player has on a franchise's success is much greater than in the NFL, where getting production out of the late rounds is essential.

For me, it's not that we missed out on Anthony Davis, but that New Orleans was the team that passed us. No one cares about basketball in a Saints town, the team they built around him can't get to the playoffs in the west, and to add insult to injury it's our old franchise that is there because of George Shinn.

Once he up and leaves to Chicago it won't bother me anymore as chances are he would have done the same here.

Regardless, the draft lottery system is not to blame here, but rather a front office that deviated from a plan and got cute without worrying about the fit for the players they got in the offseason. Go back and look at Cho's drafts. The players were there wherever we picked, we just missed them.
