And the highest rated tackle over the past 2 games is...

Jeremy Igo

we should not bet that he will be this solid for years to come.. we gambled on Nate Chandler because he played pretty well last year.. that didnt turn out too well

Can't compare to Chandler. He was merely decent as a guard with other talent around him helping him out. He had never played tackle prior to this year.

Wow good for him! It's also interesting to note that Robinson and Lane Johnson are around the top ten. I'm pretty sure both were struggling at the beginning of the year

Lane Johnson has been good/great since he was drafted. He was suspended earlier this year, not struggling.

Chandler played G last year. not the same as playing T. His play from last season couldnt be used as a precusor to his play this year.

Happy they found him - goes to show you that Gettleman is a master talent evaluator.  He didn't bring in Nate Chandler or Byron Bell.  If anything I think those two starting is evidence the coaching staff stubbornly stuck with them.  But it's good to know they've got some quality young players coming up on the line.

Ron didn't put a gun to Gettleman's head when he signed Chandler to a 3 year contract.

Obviously they both expected him to be a contributor. It hasn't worked out. Simple as that.

Chandler is a great bench player.  He can play guard or tackle or hell could even fill in on the D-Line in a pinch.  Shouldn't be starting though....

Continuity is just as important as talent when you're talking about Offensive line. If these guys can maintain this and make the playoffs... I think we can draft the best tackle in the first round and go BPA for the rest.

Byron Bell must go though.
