Ron Rivera won a coach's challenge today

Rivera said in the press conference it was the guys in the booth that told him to throw the red flag.

As is every single challenge in the NFL. People need to stop ripping Rivera for challenges. There's plenty of other things to rip him for, but not challenges.

We are the anonymous Panthers fans. We get to rip him a new poo hole for whatever we want. However, we are the same fans that if we saw Ron Rivera face-to-face at our local bar, we would offer to buy him a beer.

Pretty sure you'd offer him a sex on the beach not a beer.

How that was a fumble is beyond my understanding, but I'll take it.

According to the guys on the radio, the qb has to have control of the ball when his arm is going forward.  Mcnown was just sort of pushing it.  If that is the rule, then there is little doubt it was a fumble.  Just sucks that we didn't get to return it.  Might have taken it to the house.  But it worked out alright in the end.

Pretty sure I would be asking him for a complimentary Felix Sabates Mercedes.

Then I would ask him what he was looking at.............................

i thought it was dumb based on risk/reward (we gained what, a net of ten yards out of it?) but i'll take it

I understand your point, but we don't really know what we gained because a punt would have followed.  So it would depend on how the punt went.

And given our problems catching a punt, a fumble was probably a lot better.  :)
