Hornets expected to KEEP Stephenson

Exactly.

A Stephenson/Henderson & MKG at the 2-3 is terrible. But you're pointing out the wrong piece. MKG is a better scoring threat than Lance. The 2 position needs upgraded.

Hello, Cho. Ideally, every backcourt player on your team should be a threat to make a shot.

Drafting MKG #2 put this franchise where it is more than anything else you all WANT to be the biggest problem.

I'm talking big picture. Kemba is not a piece to a contender and he's not going to attract other future greats to come play with him

Charlotte is not in a position to attract top level talent. That's why IMO we are positioning ourselves to take a shot at Steph. He is the only realistic shot we have at a true superstar talent by sheer virtue of his hometown.

As for Kemba, he has been instrumental in attracting the top mid-level free agents that are within our grasp. Al Jefferson, Gordon Hayward, and Lance Stephenson have chosen to sign with a franchise that 3 years ago was the worst team in NBA history.

Right now, in the big picture, Charlotte is not trying to go for an NBA championship. Charlotte is trying to build a consistent playoff team and a consistent fanbase much like the beloved Hornets teams of the past. Considering the reboot of the NBA in Charlotte has been nothing short of irrelevant mediocrity, this would be a major accomplishment for the city and the league.

Basically, you're right, Kemba is probably not going to be a major piece to a championship team, but a championship is not realistic for this franchise right now. You can't just bypass years of mediocrity and win titles overnight. New Orleans has had Anthony Davis for three years now and has yet to make the playoffs, and Philly is going to find this out the hard way.
