Hornets Losing Fans because of T-Shirts

Facts = facts.

Facts DO NOT EQUAL race.

If "race" is a fact, the facts are still the facts.

The people complaining are white.

The players wearing the shirts are black.

The players are wearing the shirt because of black men who were killed.

If race can't be brought up on topics where it is a factor, then lock these threads before they get started.

This post is idiotic.

1. You don't know the facts

2. Cody Zeller is white

3. If a black man is killed while committing a crime he's not classified by his skin color, he's classified as a criminal as same as if a white man is killed while committing a crime.

Speaking of facts, why don't you look up done info on some of these officers before acting all woe as me.

Finally, "facts" don't give you the right to act like a fool and group individuals together based on their skin color.

I was also unaware that Cody Zeller was African-American.

You don't think none of this has to do with race??

I think it does, but that doesn't mean an ethnicity as a whole needs to be called out. Why don't you call out the man that did it rather than the skin color of the man. When you call out the skin color you look like a bigot.

Not all African-Americans are thugs and not all white people are criminals.... as soon as that gets through people's heads the world will be a better place.

I think Rick Bonnell is up to his usual poo-stirring ways.

This is a non-issue.

People complain about all sorts of things all the time. Why did Rick Bonnell focus on this one? That is the question. What is his motivation? Does he have a problem with the shirts himself, or is he trying to get in on a national story to get some buzz?

LOL...Cody Zeller being white changes nothing about what I wrote any more than the white people who marched with Martin Luther King changed anything about how racists felt about Martin Luther King.

White people commit more of the same crimes that black people do because there are more white people in this country, yet prisons are mostly black and blacks get killed by cops more, as we've seen recently, even when they are unarmed. Black and white youth use drugs about the same, but black ones go to prison for it 3 times as often as white ones.

Sure, race has nothing to do with the punishment.

"White parents" will rationalize Zeller wearing that shirt as a virtue...it's a phase, he's young and doesn't know any better, or he's just being a good teammate. The other Hornets...not so much.

"Woe is me"? LOL...I'm just having fun.

The standards are always different. Of course you know that, lol.

I'm not white & I think you're a race-baiting bigot.

Yes, the one who points out that people are being racist for claiming they'll never support a team again because of shirts about police brutality of blacks is the bigot, not the racists who can only have their athletes "entertain them," not have opinions of their own.

Had the Hornets won, it wouldn't have made a difference.

This is different from religion or politics. This is a social issue and people for years crap on MJ and Tiger for not having a opinion. Now people have a problem with players being socially aware. .

KKK is a social issue too, and nothing to do with politics or religion.

I ask, again, would you be okay with a player wearing a KKK shirt?

I should have known that there are some "woe is me" individuals that aren't mature enough to discuss this subject without calling out a group of people as a whole.

I said "INSECURE WHITE PEOPLE" not "all white people are insecure."

Do you get the difference?

If you're one of the insecure ones upset over some shirts, then it applies to you. If you're not, then it doesn't apply to you.

That doesn't sound like a whole group of people, but yes, it does apply to a specific group of people.

THE SHIRTS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE

The players wearing them have came out & said its about police brutality & has NOTHING to do with black/white.

YOU are the one making it about race. YOU are the bigot. Not the people complaining.

- Cody Zeller being white makes your post inaccurate that all the players are African-American.

- White people do commit more crimes and they also are killed for it during certain occasions, but you don't hear about it due to the fact that it doesn't coincide with the media agenda. I suggest you do your own research and quit listening to that garbage on CNN and Fox.

- Once again, why is Zeller treated differently due to his skin color? Maybe he feels the same way as other individuals do about Garner's tragic death. Or do you know him and his family and spoke to them personally on their opinion.

I also agree that that the standards are different but why succumb to then? That makes you look weak. Banning together with your brothers (regardless of skin color) is much more practical and productive.

The "KKK" has nothing to do with "politics or religion"?

What universe do you live in?

They burned CROSSES for a reason. Members of the KKK ran governments too. You think "Jim Crow" had no KKK influence?

Yes, someone advocating for fairness and equal treatment ("I can't breathe") is the same as someone wearing a KKK shirt advocating for discrimination and unequal treatment?

This is why I wrote what I did, to draw out the real bigots like you.  :sword:
