You mean the year Cam went undefeated, won the SEC title, won the BCS title, & obliterated Luck's numbers? Oh, he also won the Heisman over Luck that year- which is what the entire chart is based on.

The chart represents Heisman winners, but they use QBR instead so they can list Luck for '10 instead of Newton.

They already had their two parameters- NFL starters & Heisman winners- they added QBR to skew the chart and make Manziel look special. Because otherwise Bradford & Newton would also be listed.

Besides, "QBR" is a terrible, skewed metric developed by ESPN. They use it when the conventional systems don't favor their given agenda. And it was developed by ESPN to use in the NFL instead of the Passer Rating system. It's not even used for college football. College football has their own "passer effeciency rating" system. And furthermore, Cam Newton broke Drew Brees' NCAA passer effeciency rating record in 2010. That is why they used QBR.

According to BSPN's QBR system, the top three quarterbacks through two games were: 1. Matt Ryan; 2. Robert Griffin, III; and 3. ANDREW LUCK! Cam Newton, who was significantly better than Andrew Luck in every statistical category, was ranked 12th in QBR. Newton's touchdown to interception ratio was better, he was near the top of the NFL in completion percentage (69.8, Luck was 23rd at 56.6), Newton lead the NFL by a wide margin in yards per attempt (10.5, Luck was 23rd at 7.01) and Newton's passer rating was 100 (7th) while Luck's 75 was near the bottom (26th). Cam is a "current NFL starter" eve though he isn't starting today. So is Bradford and so is Palmer.
