Yeah, they pretty much followed the blue print from Hurney, although, they invested their $$ onto a QB instead of 2 RBs.

 

 

Hurney overpay's: S, RB, RB, MLB, OLB, DE

 

 

Loomis' overpay's: S, QB, G, G, OLB

 

 

 

Pretty stupid, IMO, to overpay for S's, OLB's, G's, and RB's.

 

 

This is exactly how the Panthers were situated with Hurney at the helm, thank god for DG.

Yeah the cap space could potentially be around 28-30 mil pending some moves.  Our dead money also drops from like 26 million (not counting +13 mil more for Hardy) to like 5 mil.  4 mil of that which is Smitty.

I have to disagree. Bill is a terrific coach, but look at his record without Brady. I'm not dating he couldn't come close, but those two are a perfect pairing. It's comparable to Elway and Shanahan.
