Tip off: 8 PM EST

Past Results:

Memphis - 71

Charlotte - 69

Last time these teams met, it was an ugly game.  With it being the Hornets second game of the year, both teams came out and shot 36% from the field.  There were a total of 39 TO between the two teams, the Hornets having 20 of those.

Since that game, both teams have gone in different directions.  Memphis is sitting pretty near the top of the West while Charlotte is busy playing catch up, but two straight wins and more practices is giving this team more confidence.

With the return of MKG, I think this game will be closer than it would've been a week ago.

Projected Starters

CHA:

Kemba

Lance

MKG

Zeller

Big Al

MEM:

Conley

Allen

Vince

Z-Bo

Gasol

Looking forward to a hard fought game.  Hornets seem to be flowing better offensively, and hopefully the win on Wednesday night, one of the more complete games from the team, will carry into tonights game.

Projection

Charlotte - 84

Memphis - 80

    • The issue is the formula is secret, and it incorporates runs... So... Yup, it does. Same with PFF (which isn't quite as secret). But when it doesn't - like on Sunday - it's often to hilarious results. PFF is more reliable I think at matching my 'eye' test.
    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
