There will always be skeptics and nonbelievers but i tend to try overlooking them. Several years ago my auto was t-boned and totaled on I-85 North, exit 10, by a tractor trailer truck, traveling 65 miles an hour. My auto was carried over 1/2 mile before the truck stopped, the only thing that saved my 2 passengers and I was the trucks bumper twisting up on one side, keeping my auto attached to the massive grill of the tractor trailer. My auto was thrown to the side when the truck had slowed down and was close coming to a halt.

A Christian family from Georgia, traveling behind me ,saw/heard the collision and smoke bellowing from the trucks brakes,as well as my auto tires that were on the pavement surface. They told me later they were certain were going to be killed,so they all started praying that our lives would be spared.

One of the passengers and i had minor injuries the other passenger was taken to Kings Mountain Hospital to be checked because their blood pressure was extremely high.

I was the last to get assisted from my auto and the first thing i did was fall on my knees and thank the Lord for sparing my life because i believed then,as i believe now, he had his hand in saving my life and the lives of my passengers.

Unbelievers are free to think how they please about things of this nature, but if one experiences a traumatic life changing event of this type,it is highly likely their skeptical viewpoint may be altered

Wonderful testimony, glad you're here to share it.

I wish Cam took English more seriously at Auburn.

Phillyb is a man of science and I respect that, but it's not reason to go out of your way to trample on someone's belief system. I believe in God with everything in me and I don't appreciate such comments. However, you're entitled to believe whatever you want. I'm not here to judge.

The man will make more money this weekend standing on the sideline than you will probably make in the next ten years. But feel free to critique his English all day long. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Crazy story, and I am glad you are still here with us. Let's be honest with ourselves here though.. you suffered a traumatic, life-changing event, and like most humans since the dawn of time, have turned to religion to try to explain it.

If that's the only way you can cope with it, so be it, but it certainly does not make it real.

Case study on why most religious people don't like atheists.

I went to high school with several pro baseball players, and my cousin went to high school with football players- notably Danell Ellerbe, Melvin Ingram, & Norman Whitley of ECU. My uncle was a college advisor in that area and said when Whitley graduated high school he could only read and write at a 3rd grade level.

Their horrible English is only partly their fault. Yeah, a lot of them are just dumb and didn't care in school but the teachers don't do them any favors. While it's a much smaller scale, high school athletics are similar to college. Nobody cares about their education, just how many games they can help the school win. Teachers, advisors, principals, etc give them passing grades to keep them eligible to play ball and nobody cares whether or not they learn anything.

How are they to blame when their entire life everybody just pushed them through and said don't worry about it, just go play ball and win us games.

It's only sad for those who don't make it professionally. They're the ones who suffer. They have to go into the working world with the education and knowledge of a 12-year-old. For those who make it & earn millions, it's irrelevant. Punctuation and grammar are useless to Cam. He makes more in a year than most on here will make in a lifetime.

Lol if you gain the ability to look at what he described objectively, feel free and we can continue to discuss.

What I said had nothing to do with atheism, I am simply stating how humans naturally react to traumatic events with religion (again, a scientific FACT)

You certainly have the right to your beliefs, the same as i do. I was a Christian before this event happened and have experienced many things in my life over the years, that i felt without a doubt, the hand of the Lord was involved.

When a person commits their life to Christ, they view their own  life and events differently than nonbelivers, because the Holy Spirt is dwelling within them, guiding their thoughts and actions.

To try explaining this concept to nonbelievers is near impossible, but the plan of salvation is free, simple and available to everyone.

All it takes is a having a  willing heart to ask Christ to be their Lord and Saviour, forgiving them  of their sins, then a sincere persons  life and outlook will be changed forever.

Think of the moral outrage if Cam said he doesn't believe in Jesus and really he should be thanking automotive engineers

Split that up.  If Cam said he did not believe in Jesus, I'd be disappointed and sad.  If he came out talking how impressed he was with how the safety features preformed, that'd be neat.  It may be some type of NFL violation. He'd make a hellofa spokesman for that now.

That’s a long rant that has really nothing to do with what I said. Let me break it down even simpler:

Science is continually progressing. FACT.

If you pick something that science has not ‘answered’ yet, and you extend the timeline long enough, eventually science will be able to answer it. FACT. That has nothing to do with faith it is simply stating the FACT that something that is continually progressing, if given a long enough time frame, will progress to a certain point. (again, a FACT)

You mad brah?

That is the most unscientific thing you've said all day. At most, it is a theory, not a fact. Just because you type something in all caps doesn't remove the fallacy in it. You can't say something is a fact if it hasn't happened yet. Unless of course you believe in destiny... which most would agree is contradictory to any scientific process.

Go back and re-read what I said again. Because your response leads me to believe that not only do you not know what I'm talking about.... but you don't know what you're talking about either.
