Police report is out: Cam was not at fault

Yes you are being oversensitive.  Headlines are made to draw attention so it is common for them to sensationalize a headline..  It isn't just Cam that deals with it but any celebrity in any field.  At least he isn't that popular with the tabloids yet which are usually out and out lies.

I disagree that he's/we're being oversensitive.

There's no reason whatsoever to paint Cam in that kind of light.  That wording gives the impression that, at the very least, Cam was being investigated for wrongdoing, when in fact it was just a traffic accident.

I'm still not sure how "no one" was at fault, but it's not like they were looking at Cam for some kind of serious wrongdoing.

Sure, headlines are for attention, but over sensationalized media is ridiculous to the point of absurd in this country.

I think Biscuit said it well. Cam's accident is only one example, but what you describe is correct and it's really annoying. Says a lot about the average reader of these media outlets as well.

And you are being over sensitive as well because it is about Cam. The truth is that It isn't about Cam at all it is about the media trying to stir the pot and create interest in reading an article. It has been going on for generations. It isn't a Cam issue as if he is unique or even recent. Sure complain about the media but it isn't new, it is what generates viewership. If you are in the media's eye this will happen. You are just bitching because it is Cam and people feel the need to constantly defend him. He is a big boy and doesn't need everyone always trying to make sure everything is fair. Life isn't fair and some of us just learned it a long time ago.

FWIW the average reading level of most articles is 6th grade so it doesn't cut out most readers. The problem is the logic and depth is often middle school level as well.

So your opinion is that if this happened to Tom Brady or Peyton Manning the media would be handling it the same exact way?

Who fuging cares? Has nothing to do with actual football. I wish I could read more on DA and his start this Subday than this dumb media girl celebrity drama bullshit over Cam. Sometimes I wish we never drafted him, the dumassery that followed him is unreal, and I'll say I know Beady or Manning never brought with them this amount of dumass fanboys. The huddle has really turned to poo. It's like Panthers TMZ.

1. It's North Carolina. Someone is at fault and someone is getting a ticket. Period.

2. I've driven in every state in the country save for Minnesota and North Dakota and I will unequivocally state North Carolina drivers are the worst I've ever encountered... anywhere... in over 45 years of driving. And I learned how to drive on Southern California freeways.

Not throwing everyone here under the bus, mostly because I know most of you are transplants or don't live in NC to begin with, but just the little things. Like using turn signals, turning left from the left turn lane, not cutting across 2 lanes from the right lane. Driving 55 in the fast lane of a posted 70mph interstate. The turn signal lever is up for "right" and down for "left," it's not supposed to be whichever comes to mind while you decide which way to turn. Stopping at the bottom of a merging on-ramp to an interstate where it says "yield." Going from 0-70 is a lot harder than going from 45-70... it's basic math and physics.

Erase period. In fact erase all that you said in number 1. It's wrong. Period.

Agreed. I've driven all over the USA; I've commuted through ice cold snow in Minnesota, to don't get out of your car Flint, MI to there is no such thing as a lane in NYC, to people in the roads more than cars El Paso TX and used to commute every day a two hour drive from Palm Springs to Los Angeles and Charlotte is by far the most stupid drivers I have seen in my life and I'm not exaggerating.

I will disagree on the yield thing however, because yield legally means stop if you don't believe you can merge. Also, a lot of yield signs are out on exit/on ramps meaning cars going in and out at the same time.

I blame idiot drivers but also the roads here are the worse I've ever seen, they are incredibly narrow compared to everywhere I've been, with zero shoulder. And the maintence is awful as well.

NC went no-fault at some point, I understand. When I moved here it wasn't a "no-fault" state.

But that just goes to proving my point how horrible the drivers are. They're so bad they get into accidents for reasons no one can explain, hence the "no-fault."

And, only those who continue to get into accidents would know that it's "no-fault" likely based on their personal experiences, so thanks for illustrating my point.... and try to be careful out there.
