Police report is out: Cam was not at fault

Haha poor Nestor Pellot. Looks like he was a possible Panthers fan going off his Facebook page with a couple of pictures from the stadium.

Either that or evidence of his plot to take out the favorite adoptive son of North and South Carolina.

Pictures to scout out the area.

It's redacted now from the link I clicked on. Looks like Cam's address is the one for BofA Stadium.

Yeah good since on Cam or the responding officers part to not list his actual address. Wonder who's phone number they used 252 area code. Still doesn't excuse the observer.

you really don't have to be going fast to roll over, especially in a lifted truck.

for reference, civic rolls in low speed crash:

e: another

I like how in the first video people just drive around it instead of getting out to make sure the driver was ok.

In case you were still wondering. Hope The Charlotte Observer gets this memo.

police report says driver pulled out in front of #CamNewton and didn't see him. Newton tried to avoid collision, but flipped over

But,But, How can this be ? :) The Charlotte Observer had along  list of Cam's traffic violations, dating all the way back to  his time in college.:) Talk about throwing someone under the bus, before any facts were known.

1. It's North Carolina. Someone is at fault and someone is getting a ticket. Period.

2. I've driven in every state in the country save for Minnesota and North Dakota and I will unequivocally state North Carolina drivers are the worst I've ever encountered... anywhere... in over 45 years of driving. And I learned how to drive on Southern California freeways.

Not throwing everyone here under the bus, mostly because I know most of you are transplants or don't live in NC to begin with, but just the little things. Like using turn signals, turning left from the left turn lane, not cutting across 2 lanes from the right lane. Driving 55 in the fast lane of a posted 70mph interstate. The turn signal lever is up for "right" and down for "left," it's not supposed to be whichever comes to mind while you decide which way to turn. Stopping at the bottom of a merging on-ramp to an interstate where it says "yield." Going from 0-70 is a lot harder than going from 45-70... it's basic math and physics.

I've lived in NC all my life and I don't disagree with you Anybodyhome... drivers here are horrible.

There was actually a study done a few years ago that said Charlotte had the worst drivers in the country.

We were worst at:

Tailgating

Cutting people off on interstate

Agressive Driving

Running red lights

Pulling out in front of people
