Cam was hit from the back according to eyewitness - Video

OK so the right side of the Buick is damaged. If Cam truck is going down towards the left from where other driver going straight, did the Buick swerve right as he tried to stop?

It would make more sense if the Buick left front was damaged indicating Newton almost got past the other driver

Biscuit...your my boy but I saw it also this morning and Michael Strahan did not do the report at all. The only part of the whole thing Strahan had was at the end where he says he hopes Cam gets well and that he is a heck of a player.

They are probably being vague because the accident report hasn't been released and no one knows 100% what happened so no blame is being placed.

Don't go correcting me...  you know I get  all crazy...

You're probably right about the Strahan thing... my wife wouldn't shut up as I was trying to listen, but you would think that they would mention the fact that Cam was hit, the wording of it did make it sound to me as if Cam was at fault...

"Cam Newton crashed his truck..." was what they said.  While technically true, it seemed misleading that they didn't explain more of what happened.  There was no mention of the other car/driver at all, of that I'm sure.

I had the same question/thought. Apparently it's a moronic thought. Ask the guy below - he's a forensic expert when he's not a Hornets and Panthers GM.

Wrong.

The car came in from THEIR LEFT. Cam's truck was raised. The car hit his back tire. It makes sense that the front right side of the car would be damaged.

I don't know what they all were for, but I do know they all came when Cam was at UF. He didn't have a vehicle when he was at Blinn JC. And he had a scooter when he was at AU and also was never cited.

I can also tell you from experience its easy as poo to get cited in college towns, ESPECIALLY parking violations.

Yep. I think a short visit to Gainesville, FL would show you all you need to know. Been there a few times myself.

parking citations would make more sense than moving violations.

having as many as he had in a short time he'd lose his license for sure.

See....now this makes sense because the intersection isn't 90 degrees. The angle shows how the right side was hit first. Much better than that guy making up the story about the tires

Such ignorance. Who ever said anything about an "angle," or needed to? The angle is completely irrelevant to saying that the car came from Cam's left and hit his back tire. That's what happened either way.

Based in part on confirming what the EYEWITNESS TOLD THEM.

Apparently you need to be a "forensics expert" to repeat what the guy driving behind Cam Newton said and pointing out that it matches the damage to the car.

I wasn't trying to get in the middle of y'alls "discussion", but you were right.

The guy doesn't say anything about the car hitting the tire.

Moron? Good call tough guy.

He said the car nailed the back end of the truck. Your original question didn't ask EXACTLY what happened, but what COULD HAVE EXPLAINED how the car ended up with the damage that it did.

I provided an explanation, which could still be true, since the back tires are part of the "back end of the truck."

Ok because the observer, or one of their editors, did tweet a BS headline like "Cam Newton has 16 driving citations".

But what the headline didn't say is 15 of those citations were from college. Only one since 2011.

That poo pissed me off.

I saw that total BS article and commented at the end of it,that they were trying to find Cam guilty of a violation and the person that caused the accident, without knowing all the details. The Liberal Charlotte Observer at it's best.
