Is Amazon prime worth the money?

I may get this as well. Im thinking of a roku Netflix prime hybrid. The lack of sports from no cable is a deal breaker to me tho. Anybody find something for sports sans cable?

 

Get a Roku, you can get a gazillion local Roku feeds (Boston, Detroit, NY, LA, etc). Find someone with cable, get their info, use the WatchESPN channel. Especially if your fav team isn't a major market.

It definitely is worth the money. Not only do you save a ton on shipping, but you also get access to their streaming service, which has a better selection than Netflix.

 

The....exact......same......movies. The studios release them at the same time to streaming services. You just won't have access to all the NetFlix originals.you will have all the Amazon originals, tho. All 3 of them.

Movies, yes, but the selection of TV shows is much better, IMO.

Wasn't worth it to me.  For the first couple of weeks, I watched a lot of shows, but had pretty much seen everything that I wanted to see, at least irt what they had to offer.  None of the books I wanted to read were part of their prime offering.  And I didn't buy enough for shipping ot offset the cost of it.

The last batch of Amazon pilots were pretty good.  Especially the one that takes place at a country club in the 80's.  Reminds me of Caddyshack/Meatballs.

Amazon Prime also has the HBO collection that Netflix doesn't offer.
