Cam has 2 transverse fractures in lower back

I hate that, as he was coming off of one of his better games, and I wanted to see him expand on it, but, it's the right thing to do.

two other QBs have played with the same injury this season: tony romo and bryce petty. of course they didn't sustain their injuries in a car wreck, so the circumstances are different. doctors will evaluate him and make the decision. my guess is cam will want to play, and i would be surprised if he is done for the year.

Let him sit this Sunday, but, if he is good enough to go for the rest of the year and we are in playoff contention, let him play. This is what legends are made of, folks. Can you imagine the status Cam will elevate to if he wills his team to the playoffs after this accident?

Forget about football, hope Cam gets a speedy recovery. Don't know too much about transverse fractures, but I suspect it may take time to heal. Get well Cam.

how can Romo have had the exact same injury? was he also in an accident where his truck rolled over 3 or 4 times?

 

Romo also had 2 transverse fractures in his lower back.  Assuming Cam's 2 vertabrae aren't shattered, the rehab is the same.  Their is little to no risk of damaging the spinal cord or making the injury worse.

People think stars like Cam are like video game characters or aren't real people.

Cam has had ankle surgery, a broken rib, and a fractured back. He's been hit twice as much as Romo or anyone else this season. If he doesn't play, I will support him and the Panthers 100%.

Transverse fractures are the same injury Romo and Bryce Petty suffered this year. He *could* play again this season, assuming the fresh injury doesn't also affect his rib issue from earlier in the year.

Please just IR him.  This season is lost anyway, no point in dragging out the inevitable and possibly hurting him worse.
