Gettleman's Scouting Department

Meh, he signed Byron Bell, Roman Harper, Thomas Decoud, and Antonie Cason to contracts.  While he is decent at scouting talent.  He still ignored, or signed players to key positions of need that are not meant to be starters.  Hell, two of the four I mentioned are either out of the league or on the bench.  I love us curb stomping the Saints testicles, but we need to calm down a bit on anointing him just yet.  Last year we also thought Melvin White was a good signing, and sadly he is awful.

There's also the matter of the wasted timeouts.  If we had them then it wouldn't have mattered to begin with, but we didn't.  This once again goes back to piss-poor clock management by Rivera, something he hasn't improved on at all since he first got here.

It seems like Cam calls a timeout in the first quarter every game as soon as he sees something he doesn't like. We waste timeouts because decisions aren't made fast enough by both coaches and players.

I want to watch reemers these last few weeks to make my decesion but i pray he's the answer. I'm already sold on our interior line of Norwell, Kalil, Turner. We just need to replace Gross and we're looking good. I also want to draft Kalil replacement in this draft to go ahead and start grooming him

On one timeout, Cam & Cotchery both seemed confused. I wonder does it have to do with what one poster said about the design of offense going through some changes, some non-Shula changes

Why does everything have to be bash Hurney fest? You can't praise one man without bashing another?

Hurney's strengths were hitting home runs on first round picks and retaining fan favorite players.

Gettleman is finding ways to get productive players on the cheap.

Different strengths for sure.

They use timeouts to sort out communication problems that shouldn't happen in the first place. I wish we would run at a pace similar to San Diego. Get up to the line quicker with more time left on the play clock. Then either go fast or slow but change it up. Another benefit would be Cam not having time to do that gay first down celebration.

Would you prefer the discount double check?

Cam's 1st down thing lasts less than 5 seconds.... Lol And he only really does it when him and the team is playing well or to provide a spark.

No different or longer than Antonio Brown etc etc.(Even Brady for a QB example.)

He can do whatever he wants after scoring a TD. The first down thing is 5 seconds or so that could be used getting the next play called.

Considering that the play clock doesn't run while they move the chains and set the ball and that players aren't huddled at the time, your argument is pointless.
