Yes, and I'm sure Avant's comments were directed at the team.

 

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a double entendre type comment by Olsen.

 

We already know he wasn't happy about the offense and Rivera's decision making in close games.

 

Regarding Shula: It's obvious why he doesn't use the No Huddle more, though it works: He's so dumb! In his static mind, he feels HE-SHULA should have more control of the offense, even when he's the one that's actually holding it back.

 

It's what dumb, incompetent people usually do; instead of allowing the players do all the work, then receive credit for it. However, Shula's so incompetent and hard headed, he's not smart enough to do or know that.

First half we were playing fast with Cam having the ability to audible to other plays at the line oof scrimmage.

If you are going to go heavy with read option plays you have to play with pace and audible at LOS.

So no surprise we were more successful running the read option yesterday

This is a case where context in the article is important.  It doesn't seem, from the article, like Olsen was talking about playcalling but just about Cam being "in control" of his game.

I'm sure Olsen didn't mean it exactly like it sounded, but it seemed to me that Cam did a lot more audible calling yesterday.

 

Maybe that was just part of it...?
