For a rookie, in his situation with the circumstances and coming into the season with little practice time with Cam I think he's done more than fine

Seriously, give the kid a break. Best rookie receiver we've had since Moose (not including Smitty bc he was a returner his rookie year). Some of his drops have been bad, but he has more than made up for them touchdown catches and big time blocks.

He will get better with time. Kelvin johnson drops quite a few balls from time to time too, it happens.

Now wait a minute, KB is having a historical season and that is be discounted because there are multiple NFL ready rookies making names for themselves too?

That's like saying sorry Peyton your year just isn't up to par because Rogers is killing it out there.

Its true Benjamin is a rookie.  Its also true that he is on a offense that dumped all of its receivers last year.  By default, he is the primary target, so its to be expected that he will get a higher number of receptions/yards than the average rookie wr.  Its also a legit criticism to say that he has dropped quite a few passes, even for a rookie.  Hopefully he improves in that regard.  I expect that he will.

I'd say he has definitely been a "boom" this season, considering WR has been a position that historically rookies struggle at.

What impresses me most about KB is how cool he is. Nothing phases him.

I imagine with continuous work with Prohel and many hours with the ball machine we could be looking at an elite receiver in a few years.

And yes, opposite Amari Cooper will only help the situation.

For comparisons sake, Steve Smith, in his 14 year career, hit 1000 yards and 10+ TDs exactly one time (2005). KB is gonna do it in his rookie season

Kelvin also could play twice as long as 89 and never touch his YAC. 2 totally different WRs.

Why are we giving up on KB being a #1 WR?  He's a rookie for crying out loud and having a damn good season considering. He's still a really raw player. He will be a #1.

The JUGS machine is overrated.  Ricky can teach KB to become a better route runner, but really can't do anything for his hands.  Moreover, would KB be a top 15 pick?  That was said earlier this year, but I kind of doubt it.  He has been forced to play here because we suck.  I would argue that if Allen Robinson, Donte Moncrief, Davante Adams, and Jarvis Landry had been here, then you'd probably be saying the same thing about them (as opposed to Benjamin who would have been riding the bench).

you can (probably, i haven't researched it yet) count on one hand the amount of rookies to have 1000 yards and 10 TDs.
