Panthers 4-8-1, Saints 5-8, Falcons likely 5-8 tomorrow. Again look at the schedules & predict what happens

After today I think Atlanta is going to get in.  Now even if they lose to the Saints they tie the h2h and would win the division tiebreaker by beating us.  If they win either @NO or at home against us then they have a huge advantage and they also get schizo Pittsburgh at home.

Today was great for us but we almost have to win out to make it and I do not see us being consistent enough to do that.  Best case we win the division games and lose to Cleveland for 6-9-1

New Orleans has the easiest schedule by far but as I said above, with our win today it gives Atlanta a huge tiebreak advantage over them.

Atlanta and New Orleans playing each other both helps and hurts us.

On one hand, it guarantees neither can win out.

On the other hand, it guarantees one team is going to win and we have to rely on them losing at least 1 other game (Saints play Chicago and Tampa Bay, Atlanta plays Pittsburgh and us).  We are going to have to win out to have a chance unless the Saints lose to both Chicago and Tampa Bay and Atlanta loses 2 of their last 3 as well.

fivethirtyeight.com says, Carolina's chance of playoffs went up from 2% to 11%, New Orleans' went from 68% to 44%. Carolina only gets .1% chance greater from an Atlanta loss, oddly.

Atlanta probably has such a high chance of losing that their losing does not effect much.
