Problem is, what does it say for our staff that it took injuries for them to start the more capable players?

Sometimes you have gamers that don't show as much in practice...yet they step up on game day.

Or it could be that the staff sucks.

I think both tackle spots still need to be addressed. Competition doesn't hurt.

I don't know if it's so much that they "suck", but that they are letting their own egos get in the way.

 

For example, enough of the DL project players like Chandler on the OL, hell we even tried Fua at one point. Get some real OL.

I understand what you are saying.

And, I think Rivera should be gone at the end of the season no matter how we finish. He had not done enough to stay.

We still have issues that need took be addressed, don't lose sight of that because of one decent game against a sorry N. O. team

if Remmer and Norwell continue playing at this level the rest of the season, it really opens us up to address other important positions while just providing depth for G and RT instead of having to spend high draft picks or big FA money.

Deangelo would've carved that defense up, too, especially with how our line played. Stewart had just as many runs for loss running behind Amini and Chandler.

 I wouldn't get carried away.  We still need some new blood.  But at least we were good today, albeit against a very bad defense. 

 

They have above average pass rushers.

Remmer and Norwell have been impressive. I don't think we should put all our eggs in that basket. Keep adding to O-line and create depth. They are still UDFAs
