Wow when Cam has time....

Signal calling and directing the offense is something he needs to perfect if he wants Peyton money in his next contract. At least that is how I feel. I don't want good games every now and again, I want consistent 12 game winning seasons and superbowls. In order to get to that step, he needs to take over everything.

He is 25 years old. You are asking him to run an offense like the best QB of all time. Good luck with that

As far as money goes. Market will determine that.

I thought he did a great job today. You're just reaching for something.

APPROXIMATELY how many yards does Cam have today if Benjamin doesn't drop that perfect long pass and Philly catches that TD that went right through his hands?

You calculate this, in large part, by taking away any other passes that Cam made on those two drives unless they occurred if the Panthers passed the point on the field where the ball was dropped by the receiver (this makes Philly's drop easier because it was in the endzone, so that one is all his yardage...you take away all other yardage Cam picked up on that drive and just add what Philly's would've been). Odds are Benjamin picks up at least another 3-5 yards if he holds on to that one.

We're not taking into consideration that the Panthers may have gotten two more drives for Cam to work with.

We're just taking away the attempts/completions/yardage that he got instead of those two plays and replacing it with the 2 attempts/2 completions/whatever that yardage that would've been.

Would those two have put him over 300?

Odds are if those two were made, he would've ended up with over 300 when you factor in the time they had for another possession or two during the game.

TBH, it's all speculation on my part. Our offense just looked so explosive and new that I find it hard to believe that Shula was behind that. I don't say that just because our offense had a good game, I say that because I saw new things in that game that I didn't see all of Shula's tenure here.

I agree. I thought the same thing.

The only problem I have with this is the news we found out this week, that Shula only allows Cam to audible 35% of the plays. Can't expect him to improve much, with that in mind.

A combination of:

-Philly Brown continuing to develop into a competent receiver

-Stewart being far superior to Deangelo and getting most of the carries

-Tolbert providing a dimension we have lacked all season whether running, receiving or blocking

-The offensive line playing well both in the run and passing game

Add all of those things together and suddenly Cam, Greg and KB aren't trying to play the entire opposing defense by themselves.
