Marcus Mariota versus Andrew Luck

How does Mariota stack up and will he succeed like Luck has early and often?

Not even a contest. Luck was considered the best QB prospect coming out of college since Elway.

Mariota looks like a raw prospect.  I was hoping to see if he showed any signal caller characteristics in last night's game, and I'm not sure I seen that.  I think he's a little more polished than Cam as a passer coming out, but he still has a big learning curve in the NFL.

Luck was like when Peyton Manning came out: as close as a sure thing as you'll see

Mariota is like Cam Newton...both from spread offenses with little to no experience taking snaps under center, and little to no experience going throw multiple reads. But, like Cam did, Mariota shows all the signs of being able making the transition to the pro game, but you can't believe it until it happens

he is like Cam when Cam came out of college. Will he make the transition to the NFL game.. like Cam? Or not... like RG3? Only time will tell
