I don't think Rivera and Gettleman even saw this coming -- at least not this bad.

Nobody thought it would be this bad. I had my doubts going into the season about the oline and the tackles specifically but old Ron was confident they would be adequate. When Gettlemen tried to find another tackle in FA I surmised that he wasn't sold that the current guys could get it done but he kept a stiff upper lip anyway.

Not really. It'd still be counted as a hurry(i.e. a QB had to step up/move in the pocket because of a defender)

A better reason would be our oline sucks and we don't call enough short passes, which creates more opportunities for pressure.
