Smith and Kelvin's stats so far

Would you say that Kelvins benefit of not having guys around him increases his stats, and that's why he's ahead of him in most stat categories. Smitty plays opposite T.Smith aswell so that might take away a little from in terms of usage for smith. Kelvins done a great job though and I look forward to many years of him.

Kelvin's increased stats are mainly due to garbage time when defenses are either playing soft or their 2nd stringers, and god knows this team has played a lot of garbage time this year.

Nonetheless, Kelvin is going to be very special if he can just work on his route running and hands.

Aint no way in Hell smitty puts those numbers up for us this year. Not with Shula. Not with this offense. Not while his fire was dying and he was contemplating retirement. Releasing him released the beast inside and lit a fire under his ass again. That's why he is destroying worlds again, and good for him. I look forward to seeing him in the HOF hopefully one day.

The people that hate on him seem like the guys that get broken up with and immediately start trashing their ex just to make themselves feel better ab out being alone.

Steve's stats are extremely skewed. He played his little ass off through week 4 against us to prove a point. Since then, he's back to his lazy unmotivated self. He's averaged 3 Rec 50 Yd 0.3 Td the past 8 games- which is what he averaged here last year and would've averaged here this season.

first 4- 25 Rec 426 Yd 3 Td

last 8- 24 Rec 390 Yd 2 Td

He had more Rec Yd Td the first 4 games than he has over the last 8. That should tell you everything you need to know about Steve.

Cutting him was the right move, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a goddamn idiot. Paying a 35-37 year old, 5'9, slow, injured, unmotivated WR who was a locker room cancer nearly $35m guaranteed would've been fuging asinine and retarded.

    • I don't know--they represent the entire body of players and this be determined, if it got to that point, by a vote of all veterans and rookies who are part of the union.  If the elite players are getting 50% of all cap increases, the non-elite players with shorter careers might want a bigger slice of the pie and vote accordingly.  To say that the Union would not go for it is not something I agree with--it would be the union that proposes it--based on a proposal and a majority vote.  If the veteran players vote for an equal distribution framework, then all 53 on a roster benefit from a cap increase that is applicable to the entire team.  Not sure how labor laws might be impacted...
    • Carter, Graham, or Walker and I might roll the dice hoping Walker is around later.  If Hunter is there at 8, we are about to get a really nice haul for trading back.
    • Oh well. That's his fault if he wants to eat up all the cap space and have no protection as a result. A big part of why Brady has all those rings is that he generally took team friendly deals. Not that he wasn't making a mega ass ton of money, but he wasn't leaving his team cap strapped due to his contract while Peyton Manning generally tried to negotiate for every dime he could get forcing the Colts to make tough decisions.
