Rivera said he asked the NFL for explanation for Josh Norman taunting. Wasn't really given a reason. #Panthers

I bet Ron hates Gettlemen.

Imagine....a General Manager that hides all season forcing you to give PC Front Office answers to all this BS.

Harper is here for one reason only.....Gettlemen paid him too much, now Gettlemen is making Ron keep him all season b/c it cost to much to cut him. Then he sends Ron out there to lie about despite everyone knowing the truth.

We could cut harper right now with no cap penalty

He'll be a 2015 June 1st cut though

It is comical that people think Ron Rivera means and believes what he says in pressers.  He says what he has to say.  That's it.

 

Gettlemen did trash his roster this offseason.  Maybe he had to.  Maybe he didn't.  Doesn't matter......Ron is the one that has to answer for it all.  Which is pretty shitty if you are Ron.

that doesn't mean this team was equipped with the talent needed.

 

that just means the NFCS is a hot dumpster fire and potentially the worst division the NFL has seen in decades.

I agree. Definitely not, however, this thread may not have been created if not for Ron's coaching failures.

That is true - Like him or not, Ron has had to answer for everything including when the Hardy situation was going down. It's all Ron alone on an island when it comes to doing the talking. 

 

I understand that Gettleman didn't really make himself available when things were good so I don't expect him to do so now. There is no way that Ron can believe the things he says in the pressers and if he does......oh my.

 

And what about the owner speaking out on the sh*tty product he trots out to the people who repeatedly give him their hard earned money each home game? That would be a noble thing to do but it won't happen.

Ron fugged Ron. Gettleman didn't punk out or mismanage the squad. We had six rookies starting for our defense last season and we were still dominate. You can stop your anti-Gettleman campaign. Once there are fundamental issues, that's on the coaching.

Yes, Ron is a flawed coach.  Obvious and reoccurring flaws.  We all know that.  Those flaws have cost us games every season in predictable fashion.  So yes, Ron fugs Ron.

 

Yes, Gettlemen DID mismanage this offseason.....if a priority was given to continue off of last season's success.  The OL, secondary, and WRs corps all took big steps back in the same season.  Big steps.  Too many steps backwards from a TALENT standpoint.

 

Ron hasn't changed.  We are getting the doors blown off of us this year.....which has NEVER occurred under Ron.   It is happening this year b/c Ron is Ron....and now he doesn't have enough talent at important areas.  He isn't being asked to scheme around a weak lineman or a weak CB.  He has no OL.....no secondary. 

 

Not legitimately acknowledging the drop in talent and how big  it was.....is just over the top Ron bashing.  Talent wise, this is the worst team he has been given.  Ron is a constant.  He is what he is.  Talent changed.

      Man whether it's the Panthers or the Hornets it's crazy how many foolish talking heads there are in the local media. I just unsubscribed from locked on Hornets. Doug Branson with his cheesy mustache is an absolute clown especially when his partner isn't on. Talking about trading LaMelo because he can't win basketball games by himself with no semblance whatsoever of a legitimate Center. These YouTube personalities will say anything for a damn click.

      I’m hoping for that exact same scenario, two seconds would be big for us. I’d hope for 3 impact players. A WR/DL/DE that can contribute like this current class would be key to our rebuild.

      When I look at what I can find, a carryover problem from last season is our receivers are still unable to get enough separation on a consistent basis. Canales is certainly better at scheming them open, like how he sneaked out Thielen for a big play. But then he's also having Thielen running routes he frankly shouldn't be doing anymore. I feel part of the RZ issues is not really having anyone - after trading Diontae - who can make those quick cuts on a short field to give whoever is under center a wider window to throw. We also only have one guy with blazing speed in Thompkins and from what I could see, he's really used more to draw away coverage. I bring this all up because what Canales needs for sustained success - other than QB - is the other receiver pieces we'll be getting in the offseason.  Otherwise, I have to say that Canales isn't as afraid to be aggressive offensively. As others mentioned, still doesn't run the ball enough at times. Finally, I still feel his playcalls still doesn't line up with his mantra of getting rid of the ball within x amount of seconds. Maybe I count too slow. Oh, and I'm glad Canales first game after a bye looked good. I feared he'd be like Ron Rivera where we would fall flat on our faces.
