So, Greg's Twitter is really him.

He didn't add "Panthers?" he added "@Panthers ?", relaying the question to the Panthers official twitter account to see if they wanted to respond to it (which I'm sure they won't). It wasn't him saying "derp who are the panthers you speak of? derp". Learn internets.

Lol dude doesn't understand twitter

How could you take a dump on Hardy after all he has done for us?

You mean like tying up 13m in cap room to work on your rap career and watch games at strip clubs because you couldn't recognize a volatile situation and remove yourself from it before things escalated, thus resulting in you not being able to do your actual job?

Crashing his motorcycle while speeding on it was pretty serious. So was driving down the road a hundred miles an hour and taking a pic of the speedometer (and tweeting it) with his phone. In both cases he could have gotten himself or someone else killed.

And this season is a little beyond 'serious'. He's not barred from the team or the facility, but is he working out or helping teammates? Nope, he's off collecting checks, having fun and being a dolt on Twitter while his teammates suffer through a nightmare season.

He's not coming back, and frankly, that doesn't bother me much anymore.

Not speeding. Wet conditions and a car cutting him off caused the motorcycle accident. The speedometer thing, I don't recall it ever being mentioned where that happened. Could have happened with other cars around on a highway, could have been a back country road, could have been a speedway. 100 isn't even that fast. Fast enough to cause a serious accident in the worst case scenario sure, but we don't know it was the worst case scenario. Bottom line is if those weren't "serious" transgressions. The whole witnesses and advertising his clothing line or whatever, that's just cockiness that he'll be found innocent. Dumb? Sure. Serious? Not even close. Greg still is on his first chance, assuming he is found innocent. Not fourth. He has never been a problem of any sort before this incident, and (once again assuming he is innocent) he is the victim here, not the problem. If he is guilty, then yes he shouldn't be retained because he's a risk. Innocent=still never caused a problem.

Edit: seriously phone, correct cockiness to godliness? That's funny.

Saying some is now old and and that coupled with his behavior issues got him cut.....isn't shitting on him

First off your post doesn't make sense, but I'm just going to infer what I think you are trying to say. What behavior issues does he have? Chewing people like admins smith out when they fug up? Yeah that's a positive. He fixed his behavior issues years ago

How much time have you spent in the locker room and practice field speaking with players and personnel about it?

I like how everyone with zero responsibility and accountability to the situation acts like they would resign him if they were in Gettleman's shoes. Mainly because they either haven't thought it through or aren't capable.

Let's say they sign Greg Hardy to big money and a month later he gets a dui or worse, which is more than possible at this point given his inability to surround himself with the right people or make the right choices, what then?

Oh, that's right, everyone here would blast gettleman for resigning him when there were huge red flags that should have been seen.

It's easy to make choices when it's not your job or checkbook on the line. I don't blame the Panthers one bit for not believing Greg's issues are behind him. They clearly aren't.

this is the reason I don't think he gets a huge contract anywhere.

There is a precedent for this kind of thing.

Vincent Jackson after 2 DUIs was one strike away from a ban. Yet the Bucs gave him 5 years @ 55 million 2 plus years ago. So far he's been OK but it was a huge gamble and not a good one imo.

Some poorly run team will probably take a chance on Hardy, hopefully it's not us and a year from now we net a nice compensatory pick.

This Franchise has corn holed itself 3 times in the last 7 years using the tag to over pay a Defensive End. Peppers twice who never signed it until July hand cuffing the Panthers completely in FA and using over 30 mil in cap space over 2 years and then repeated the mistake with Hardy.

Run, run away from Hardy and move on, never should have been FT'd in the 1st place.

Hopefully Getts doesn't repeat the mistake twice in a row as his predecessor did.
