Don't you hate when Cam overthrows a WR deep on 3rd and short

I love Cam, but this really has become a legit problem for him.  When I see him go deep I expect it to be an overthrow far more often than not now... and that shouldn't be the case.

It's crazy, because 2011 and 2012 he was among the best in the league in deep throws.  I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was in the bottom half the last two seasons on them.

I've always defended Cam, but people need to take the blinders off that take offense to any criticism of him.  He just hasn't been very good at all ever since the Bengals game.  Downright bad, actually... even when he does have time and receivers get separation.  Before that he was easily among the best QBs in the league.

Just ready to get this year over with and hope that he isn't completely ruined going into future seasons.

And that's behind a great OL too.

Isn't it strange how Peyton supposedly has a great o line every year of his career?

Maybe we're not watching the same video because I saw him play action, rolling out to the right yet still getting rid of the ball in 2 seconds... and even then he was still pressured.

Even if he has a great o line, stick with the context of the video.

And great receivers too that can get open in 2 seconds. Reply and tell me Peyton teleport those balls in the receivers that they don't need to get open.

Now you're completely changing your argument.  You said "And that's behind a great OL" when the visual evidence was that Peyton actually ran a PA + rollout to buy himself more time, yet was still pressured and released the ball within 2 seconds.  Yeah, he missed that one, but more often than not he makes that throw.

I've been one of the biggest Cam supporters you'll find, but Cam in that same situation probably dances around in the backfield which results in a sack taking us out of FG range, or runs for a 1st down himself.  Even if he does throw that ball he likely overthrows it too, which was the entire premise of this thread.

I've seen Cam overthrow MANY open receivers.

You really need to get over whatever this grudge is you have against white players.  There are legit good white players in the league, believe it or not.  Peyton Manning is one of them.

Tom Brady against GB overthrew an open receiver across the middle of the field by about 20 yards and then later short hopped a pass on a quick out without any pressure on either throw.

It isn't saying that Cam is as good as Brady or Manning. It is showing that bad passes are part of playing QB, and Cam normally is no worse or better than most QBs

I have never in my life seen a QB so closely scrutinized by a fanbase on a pass to pass basis than Cam Newton.

This is what I've been trying to say. This fan base doesn't deserve to have Cam as their Qb.

Peyton may have a few overthrows, Cam is constantly throwing high passes and it didn't just start this year. I'm a fan of the Panthers and Cam, but I'm not blind or in denial.

I won't lie, he hasn't really refined his pocket skills to where he should be in year 4 but we're also not helping him with it much at all.  He's in Cutler/Dalton territory right now IMO.

Peyton Manning had a 135.8 QB rating in that game. He completed 80% of his passes (35 attempts). He also threw 4 touchdown passes to no interceptions.

Every QB completes passes, misses passes, turns the ball over and throws touchdowns. You differentiate them based on the frequency those events happen. Manning is the most efficient QB probably in NFL history. Cam regularly puts up 50% accuracy to go along with a 1:1 TD int ratio and regularly takes sacks for holding the ball too long.

To give insight as to how stupid this thread is a similar stupid thread would be me posting a video of Peyton Manning rushing for a touchdown with the basis that Peyton is the same as Cam is in terms of mobility.
