Al Wallace said Cam Newton will never be a franchise qb

The numbers are close in passing now add the  Cam's rushing numbers and scores.... How close are they now???

He also had AJ green, Sanu, 2 TE a better Oline Hue jackson and never had to worry about being the teams top rushers..

So.......... Again keep coming with more... this is like batting practice...LOL

Do you know that Steve Smith has more yds than AJ Green this year? Even Brandon LaFell has more yds than him.

Mohammed Sanu? Sanu? Sanu is a weapon? hahahahaha. Do yourself a favor and check his career stats before you continue.

This notion that Cam does not have weapons is so funny. Mohammed Sanu is a weapon? The only weapon Dalton has had will be AJ Green. Cam has had Shockey, Olsen, Smith and LaFell (who is WAY better than Sanu). So keep telling yourself that Dalton has been better than Cam passing wise because of "weapons"

this is the question. Do we pay cam (he's not gonna even ask for 25 mill a year thats retarded) and draft around him and add pieces when we can. we actually will have some flexibility once these damn rb contracts are off the books.

or do we use that money on other poo and draft a qb who will be a big unknown

That's the deal breaker right there, and the key reason why so many of those people screaming to get Newton out of here are clueless.

The only other quarterback we've had worth a poo in our short history was Jake Delhomme, and we signed him in FA.

Before that we only managed to draft guys like Chris Weinke, Brett Basanez, Stefan Lefors, and Tony Pike. Future hall of famers right there.

Only a moron would expect that we would magically hit on another playmaking once in a generation talent at QB again after running off one before he even entered his prime. The teams who have been desperately drafting a QB every other year outnumber the ones who got lucky.

The problem, more than any other, is Rivera and his staff. I firmly believe that. But, if he stays like some think he will, Cam will not be worth that type of money, simple because Rivera will castrate him and surround him with poo like we have now.

We're at a point in our franchise that it's either Rivera or Cam. That's the fork in the road.

No doubt it'd be a gamble to let Cam go and see if we can draft a solid QB. Bigger gamble than paying Cam top dollar and hoping it works out. Which is why the SENSIBLE thing to do is not pay Cam top dollar.

That said, what you said is the biggest issue with this board. In my, and others, opinion, Cam is not a playmaking, once-in-a-generation talent at QB.

And that's what derails these threads. We all know he's damn good, but some think he's going to be the best QB of all time if we surround him with the right help. And, that's your right to think that. Just as it's others right to think he'll never reach that level.

These threads will always be a waste of time because these two sides will never see eye to eye.

LMFAO at RG3 legitimately carried his team??? Smh at Panthers fans sounding like Bucs fans by using the "Cam had the 10th ranked D in 2012" against him.

Speaking of Bucs, that classic meltdown up 21-10 w/ 6 mins left vs TB in 2012 is a perfect example for how final stats can be misleading.

This thread is so full of fuging wow, and i'm not talking about fellow huddler @Wow. Who makes a lot of sense btw.

You do the research and then post it kid. I guarantee all those great qbs showed steady progress in their first 4 years and not regression like Cam has. You're so desperate for a competent QB that you're willing to designate 1/6 of your team's cap to him. Unacceptable. I don't see how some of you can't see this it's remarkable.

You are spewing a lot of stupid tonight, kid.
