  1. 1. Should Gettleman be fired?

Recommended Posts

There are still thousands of people who would have rather had Smitty hear, giving us that 1000 yards per season. But, Smith is really a dead issue now. It was brought up as a means to circumvent the real issue, and I guess make Gettleman about Steve Smith. The Steve Smith firing is a red herring that has been dead a a while now.

Seeing Cam get creamed this year is still very much an issue. Leaving your young franchise QB questionable weapons and virtually no solid protection is unforgivable. Who does that? The only answer is Dave Gettleman.

Steve wouldn't be anywhere near 1,000 Yd if he was here. Steve himself even said so, Jesus Christ. Steve flat out said he was unmotivated and collecting a check here.

Steve couldn't even muster more than 67 Yd in a game when we were 12-4 & rolling last year & he was the #1 WR, but you think he would've spit out 1,000 Yd this year playing in this dumpster behind Kelvin.

It's clear where your dislike for Dave is coming from now. He cut Steve & hurt your feelings.

You are dense. Please do humanity a favor and get a vasectomy.

Total during Hurney's tenure not just the last 5 years still on the roster I count 12 draft picks.

Add Byron bell, Derek Anderson, JJ Jansen, Mike Tolbert, Gary Williams all Free Agents still on the roster.

Granted some are Getts' now on a 1 year deal only Tolbert and jansen belong to Hurney.

Probably missed some.

Then there's 25 million this year in dead cap money mostly all Hurney's. Almost 20% of our cap space isn't on the roster.

We had no business Franchising Hardy for sure.

This statement has me confused. I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry.

Gosh I hope we have a win or two so we can avoid these senseless threads every week.

Nearly everyone feels Gettleman should continue as GM. Almost no one is just blindly saying "fire everyone". But don't you think the performance of our coaches and front office personnel is a worthy topic of discussion, especially given the results this year?

What do you expect us to discuss?

Fire Gettleman threads are asinine.

Discuss away.

God himself, if he existed, couldn't have won with our salary & roster. There was nothing Dave could've done. He's got the team headed in the right direction.

firing a GM after 1.5 years, when he's still only half way through cleaning up the previous mess, is fuggin short sighted and retarded.

you assume he is cleaning it up but for a cleanup to occur then we need to get better. Getting worse is not a clean up just different. I have never liked the guy so my opinion is completely biased.

I disagree with this statement partly because God c make the impossible possible, and partly because he made some moves that digressed a superbowl contender into a pathetic basement dweller.

He is not exempt from criticism in the regard of the Greg Hardy fail, Steve Smith fail, Tyler Gaffney fail, Jason Avant cut, the mindset that welcomes Mike Shula in a play-calling position, Jordan Gross situation, and rag-tag offensive line philosophy that bewilders even the casual fan/armchair gm.
