So tell me, is that just coachspeak or do you think Rivera truly believes it?

if he's lost the locker room, he can't afford to lose his coaching staff. i think it is coaching speak to save a friend's feelings.

I wish I were a fly on the wall in Rivera's interviews. I'm trying to figure out what Hurney missed that the other 9 interviewers saw.

Supervisors stand behind their people.  It makes them look bad if they don't.  With that said, Rivera will say the right thing and hopefully do the right thing in the end.  Of course he probably will not be making that decision in the end.
