I saw my first hornets game against ATL this weekend, here are my Thoughts

Quick backstory on me:

-Was a Bulls(Jordan)/Hornets fan in the 80's and 90's, then lost interest.

-While living in Charlotte in the 2000's I followed and went to some Bobcats games, followed them loosely.

So I watched the debacle in Atlanta on Sat night. I bought my tickets about 3-4 weeks ago, right after CLT beat the Hawks. I thought it would be a good rematch based on how both teams played...I was wrong.

Here is the problem. There was ZERO game plan, no flow...I do t think I saw them call a play, and effectively run it through for a basket. Instead of a team on the court, you had 5 guys playing on their own. They would bring the ball down the court and take some kind of wild shot.

What is baffling to me (and probably you) is on paper, the Hornets look like a good team. Their problem is they don't play as a team, there is no leader, and they seriously lack discipline.

I don't know much about Clifford, except he had a good enough year last year. But I would start my blame with him. Obviously he can coached based off last years success, but he needs to find a way to remotivate the team.

Anyway, I hope they find a way to turn it around. I am not ready to jump head first back into the NBA just yet, but am hopeful the Hornets can find something to build on.
