WR or OT

The great thing about the Panthers position, if you will.  The silver lining is if they simply draft BPA they are going to fill an immediate need.  There is a very high chance of a top WR, OT (or any OL) or DB available that will be able to start immediately.

If that turns out to be Turner then so be it but with Newtons contract looming and the major need at OL you're going to have to do something to protect Cam and force fields and armored tanks aren't going to work.

I am a strong believer in BPA.  This is ensuring your team is filled with and built upon the best talent available and you fill your needs with FA.

I'd actually like that SS Collins from Bama if we don't go OT

I don't like SEC SS's.  Just too much of learning curve to contribute at the value of a 1st rounder.  Fix this up in FA.

Rookie OT's of late have been getting their asses handed to them. O-line needs to be handled in FA and in the middle rounds. Not with a 1st round pick.

I'd want Cooper or the best Safety.

True, but there's a reason they're taken too. A month or two ago I would have agreed with you but a chance must be taken or the insanity continues. 19 of 32 teams started a first rounder at LT. Picking in the top 10 won't happen again with a healthy Cam and 10% of our salary back from Hardy. It must happen NOW for many reasons.

Take the RB's who haven't played a full season since 2010 off that list and see how the money looks then..

Just on the Oline - Dline comparison alone we have more drafted and high round picks on the Dline then Oline even without Hardy...

Unfortunately you can't just take the RBs out of the equation. When those decisions were made people had to realize that those contracts would limit resources that could be allocated to different positions. That is how a salary cap works.

In the first 3 rounds of the last 3 drafts the team has drafted 3 defensive lineman and 2 offensive lineman.

I agree with what you are trying to say. I would love to see the offense improve. My point is the resources allocated to the offense are a lot more then some on here would have you believe.

Also our defense is actually worse then our offense, statistically speaking (pts per game), so I'm not sure why people tend to be just focused on the offense.

would you give up 2016 1st round to move back up in this year first round to get a WR or OT for your second pick in the first round? If we picked the other with the first pick?

Nope not surrendering the 2016 1st round pick no matter who is there.

Hate to say it, but that damn tie is going to fug us up and make us draft later, thus missing out on someone that we would really like to draft.  Someone like Cooper.  The NY Jets will probably be all over him.  Rooting for a Jets victory tomorrow night.  Why did that Bengals kicker have to fug that kick up????

I think our defense has a lot of young parts that can be better plus the loss of Hardy is a issue.

But the offense needs a infusion of speed and youth fast.
