So a good old hindsight argument. If only we would have known exactly what would have happened we would have thought something else!

LaFell was better than Avant last year by a fair margin. Considering jobs....you can't really even compare him to Cotchery. Stat sheets don't do it justice bc they did completely different things

That's not a hindsight, go back and look before a damn snap was played this season. I was very clear that Avant was a downgrade from Lafell. Run a search.

 

yeah i know and remember.  i view all of your predictions with the caveat that we couldn't cut a dry turd without you inducting it into the hall of fame because you're extremely biased against our current general manager.  wouldn't be the first time you slagged off a player only to change your tune later.

 

i mean come on-you poo on the ginn signing and talked about what a travesty cam's wide receiver corps was entering 2013.

 

and if this isn't an argument from hindsight i don't know what it is:

 

If you would have told us you were going to replace Lafell with fuging Avant then maybe we would have had a different opinion of Lafell.

 

that's very banal dude.  yeah no kidding my opinions on a lot of things related and unrelated to pro football would be different if i knew the outcome before hand.

It appears that a lot of people weren't listening when G.M. Dave Gettleman told all of us before the season,we were in cap hell and it would probably take a couple of years to pull out of it. There were very few top OL and WR's available in free agency this year and they all commanded a highly inflated priced. If Gettleman had pulled a Hurney and made way out contract extensions to free money to obtain them,we would be so far in salary cap hell we would never get out.

 

Gettleman also said he couldn't go out and spend money because several core players contract's would be due and we had to make allowance for that. Understandly no one had foresight about the Greg Hardy situation that cost us a lost $13 million and one of the NFL's  top pass rushers

 

Even with the player roster Rivera inherited this year,there could have been more wins, if him and the coaching staff had done a better job.

 

 

He also said the answer is on the roster when it came to the Oline..

 

Byron Bell is left handed you remember??

 

He also signed garbage like Harper, Avant, Cason, and other older crap we didn't need..

 

 

Dave took gambles that didn't work this year and he should be critic on his bad performance this off-season like he was praised for last year's work..

If you don't think Oline is the biggest problem for this offensive unit this season, you're an idiot.

 

At this point in the season, the WR are the bigger problem.

 

NONE of them, including KB, can regularly get *any* separation from the defender.  (KB is a value to this offense because of his size and his ability to use it to his advantage OCCASIONALLY.)

 

Except for FatAss Byron, the OL was not a huge liability today.  They actually played rather competently.

 

The WR?  They've sucked all year and they still suck.

Avant didn't fit Chip Kelly's system at all.

He actually could have fit ours if he had been used properly. Unfortunately, he wasn't.

Our system implies a road grading OL and a speed WR to take the top off the D.

Our issue is we aren't anything. We don't even come close to having anything close to what we claim to be

I'm no longer sure that our coaches know what our system is.

I think they attempt to be something they have no ability to be....

Examples being the constant runs into nothing.....that don't setup the deep developing routes by slow WRs
