AGAIN, RIVERA HAS BEEN SAYING SINCE LAST YEAR THAT HE HAS NO CONCERNS ABOUT THE OL. Since that's all he's been saying, why should anyone assume that he didn't also tell Gettleman that he could make the likes of Bell and Chandler work? Rivera hasn't once criticized the OL this season even. Everyone knows it sucks, and knew it sucked after last year, but Rivera has always said the opposite. If that's what Gettleman heard from him, Gettleman should've allowed him to prove that he could make it work.

 

As for the WRs, it's not like they lost Jerry Rice. Ginn dropped way too many wide open passes last year and Lafell is still slow. Neither has ever been a "franchise player," and they still aren't. Get Cam a Julio Jones, a strong and fast guy with good hands, and let that guy walk, then we can talk about Gettleman messing up the WRs.

 

Give me an example of another general manager completely gutting his franchise QB's entire WR corps while entering a contract year.

 

We took a huge gamble with both the OL and WR units. I'm not absolving anyone of blame. DG and Rivera are both responsbile.
