We weren't even good last year. We finished .500 in arguably the worst conference in NBA history. They beat a bunch of bad teams and got killed against the West and one or two good teams in the East all season. It was fool's gold. The team was mediocre last year.

Throw in a historic rebrand that ignited fans, great draft with Vonleh/Hairston both falling into our lap, & flashy big name signing in free agency with Stephenson, & POOF. Expectations through the roof.

This team, even on paper, just isn't that good. 7-8 seed is the ceiling of a Kemba/Lance/Al led squad. I tried telling people to temper their expectations. They shouldn't be this bad, & missing MKG is killing them- he's clearly the best & most important player, but they just aren't a real contender. They need to move Al & either Kemba or Lance. Going nowhere with that core.

Cho should've snatched Cousins last year when SAC was dumb enough to move him. Nobody offered enough to get him. Should've gave them Kemba & Big Al. And should've offered more money to Hinrich instead of wasting it on Marvin.

There is no answer on the team. A change of coach won't fix anything either.

They are shocked that they suck after the offseason they had. They are catatonic. Everyone expected more.

Fate was sealed when they drafted MKG instead of players that fit their needs more at the time. MKG was a better version of Henderson. You didn't need either.

Maybe one day PEOPLE AROUND HERE will quit listening to Chad Ford. All he can tell you is what he's been hearing. He can't give you any basketball reasons why a team should draft a guy. He's a reporter, not a talent evaluator.

What is wrong with this team?

Unless all of your baskets are dunks and layups, most of your players need to be threats to shoot the basketball.

It's definitely not "most" of these guys, not consistently.
