  • Played college football at Oregon State, where he started 44 games after making the team as a walk-on.
  • Was a finalist for the Burlsworth Trophy as a senior, an award given to the nation’s top player who began his career as a walk-on.
  • Signed with Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2012; was cut in preseason.
  • Was on Bucs practice squad in 2012 through the start of 2013.
  • Signed with Chargers in October of 2013 and made his NFL debut in Week 7 against the Jaguars; played just four snaps before he suffered a high ankle sprain.
  • Finished 2013 on Vikings roster; was inactive for final four games.
  • Was released from Vikings practice squad this September.
  • Signed with Rams and was added to practice squad, where he spent eight weeks.
  • Signed with Panthers in Week 9; has been inactive for three games since he came to Carolina.

scott is a damn gaurd. sure he played tackle in college but any chemistry he had at guard with his teamates doesnt matrer as tackle is a complete different game.

Plus im sure once he settled in as a gaurd to put on some pounds and sacraficed athelticism for girth

 

Look at it this way.  At least he's played on the offensive line before.
