There's irony in Carolina's DT quandary

He threw out a few names -- Tony Brown, Jovan Haye and Atiyyah Ellison -- and I had one quick reaction: At one time or another, each of those guys spent time with the Carolina Panthers.

That's more than a little ironic because, as Kuharsky writes, all three of those guys are thriving now at a time when the Panthers are desperate for help at defensive tackle.

Quick Question: Who can point out what all those guys (as well as Jenkins, and even Peppers) have in common that's not a factor here anymore?

They are all 3 technique dt not 1 technique dt and we need 1 technique dt because we have like 4-5 3 technique dt including brayton and CJ.

kris>kemo.....all he did was try the rest of d to step up to his level of play and gets shipped out. i sure miss that guy.

He went about it the wrong way. He led with his mouth by being critical of other players. You want to lead your teammates, you work twice as hard as anyone else, and you critique in a professional manner (not anything that the press ever hears). If you go public with your critiques of others or of the team in general, then you are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Smith did the samething too DJ no one had a problem with that.

Smith made one or two mild comments, but nothing so dramatic as Jenkins. And Smith does work twice as hard as anyone else, much more so than Jenkins did. And fwiw, some did have a problem with it.

Saying that somebody didn't have time too do interviews because he needed too spend more time on his playbook too get playing time on tv. Is the same as saying we need too play with more heart after a lackluster effort from the defence in my book.
