I'm not that big a Harbaugh fan, honestly.

But setting that aside for a moment, I'd have to say the odds of him joining this team are slim. He'll be in a position to demand a lot of control and a ridiculous paycheck. Not sure this team offers wither of those.

(I'm actually happy about that honestly, but others probably aren't)

Regardless of how you feel about it though, in the world of likelihood, this one's pretty thin.

I agree. I don'T think we'd bring him on due to both his contract demands and how hard he is to work with. I know he's act wears thin soon, but damn this organization desperately needs someone to shake some things up. Harbaugh would do that, which is precisely why he won't be considered.

We've been blown out 5 times this year.....

That's all I need to say.

JH has been to a superbowl and has made it to the playoffs 3(?) years in a row.

That "whiney little bitch" has proved himself a lot more than Ron.

jury's still out on that............the whiney little bitch had a pretty good team handed to him.

RR.......not so much.

At the end of day the man can coach. You go through a lot of those things with coaches in the league like that. Hell, look at Parcells, Cowher, and Gruden. You can't tell me these coaches didn't rub players and execs the wrong way but like I said these guys are championship winners and sometimes you need people in charge like that with those personalities. If the Panthers job was to come open I would jump on Jim Harbaugh so fast flash wouldn't be able to catch me.

I would too. I just don't think the Panthers would. J.R. wants someone who will tow the company line no matter what. He's not bringing in someone who is willing to speak his mind and shake things up if need be.

I don't really think we need a 'shake up' so much as we need someone who knows what he's doing.

Heck even John Fox had a 'shock to the system' bump, but it didn't last.

The effect of having a solid coach is lasting, and consistent.

LoL...

The York family is not like the Steinbrenner, Buss, etc families. Who cares what the owner says? He's a early 30s trust fund baby who doesn't know anything about the NFL. He finally has a good head coach and he can't even get along with him. He's gonna run them right back into the toilet. SF sucked for nearly a decade under the York family. They went 8 straight seasons without a winning record. SF was Oak/Jax bad during the '00s. They were a laughing stock. Since the York family bought SF in 2000;

Carolina

109-125-1 W/L (5-4 playoffs)

1x NFC Champion

3x Division Champion

1x Wild Card

San Francisco

117-118-1 W/L (6-5 playoffs)

1x NFC Champion

3x Division Champion

2x Wild Card

OMG IF JR HAD SOME FIRE WE COULD'VE WON 8 MORE GAMES AND 1 MORE PLAYOFF GAME OVER THE LAST 15 YEARS!!! THANKS A LOT JR!!!

The big question here......Did the 9ers give him too much rope?

I think none of this is an issue had they kept Alex Smith as the starter.  Just saying.

our GM told us last year that we were going to go through a couple of years of cap hell rebuilding. do you need them to tell you that once a month to make you happy?

2013 is not 2014 some just can't comprehend the concept of time and how long it really takes.
