So 49ers CEO Apologizes and Takes Blame for Thursday Loss?

Meanwhile we're sitting at 3-7-1 with numerous blow out losses and nobody up top has said a word yet? No accountability at all. Sad they force our players to take all the blame as if its not a total team effort. 9ers is looking they'll get rid of Jim and this organization will actually keep moRon as our head coach

How is this taking blame? this is not.

"you lost your job? sorry dude" does not admit guilt.

Yeah, there's nothing in there that says "my fault".  That's just what the OP wanted to read into it.

Personally, I don't give a flying rip about being sorry mid-season.  There's nothing that can be done to fix it right now.

Fix it in the offseason.

Apologies for a loss in football are irrelevant. They have zero impact on how the team performs in the next game or games.

I don't really care if Gettleman, or Richardson, or Rivera apologize for this season.  I just want them to make some solid moves in the offseason and put a better team on the field next year.  Results are what matter.

You've answered your own question. The 9ers want to get rid of JH, have to get on the fans good side so that they won't rage when they fire the most successful coach they have had in 15 years.

If the 49ers let JH go, they are way beyond crazy. I would love to have his fire and motivation skills here. I don't know what's happening in SF but in my opinion it's not all on JH.

He'd be a great coach...for a while.

The general knock on Harbaugh from analysts is that he's always angry.  That kind of persona works when you're coaching college kids who'll graduate the program in three or four years.  When you're coaching adults with guarantees contracts for five years or more, not so much.  Doesn't fly too well dealing with front office types either.

There have been a load of whispers that Harbaugh's act is wearing thin in the locker room and even thinner in the board room.  You can survive that as long as the on-field product stays elite, but that's starting to break down too.

Plenty of speculation these days that his next job is head coach of his alma mater, which would probably be a great idea for both sides (and quite possibly the 49ers),

    • Start with Bryce, this is like his rookie year. The 1st 2 games proved her was wired wrong and it looks like (we hope) he needed a time out to reset and be the player that was drafted. He's still about a year or more away from being a top 15 QB, if the Panther give him another playmaker or 2 (a top WR and a decent TE) and maintain that line. Canales deserves credit as playing that card correctly to motivate (or refocus) his QB for one last shot to decide his and the Panthers immediate future. As a Panther fans we should hope he keeps improving as we invested so much to get him. CJ Stroud will never have a season like he had, even if he stays a top 10 QB. He's got great character so I'm rooting for Bryce to continue on his positive journey. Canales is playing the week to week thing with bryce perfectly. Nothings guaranteed, earn it weekly which builds consistency and consistency is greatness.  Keep the O-line. They've got to extend Brady C, along with Mayes that have a real good 7. Great job Morgan starting with the big guys upfront.  I really hope they draft a DE or OLB in the 1st round. Getting Brown back with A Robinson and what DJ has shown that we can have a decent D-line. Need a CB in the early rounds/ or a time FA to go with Horn.  The future as to next year being good enough to challenge for the division is within reach. Just show progress (win or lose) every week. Kudos to Dan Morgan. Plays GM like a LB. Tackle the problem and move on, don't just hope it works out. Find guys with your playing mentality and work closely with your HC to share a vision. Teamwork starts at the top and flows down.
