I don't doubt that it is quite delicious that way but any meat can be done superbly with a stovetop and an oven. I have made the best spare ribs of my life in an oven, produced a better bark on a shoulder in an oven, and can cool any cut of beef with a skillet and an oven better than with a grill. Sometimes a grill, a smoker, a deep fryer, etc is just not worth the hassle. Quality ingredients and a heat source. All that being said, again, your suggestion does sound delightful.

I set my turkey frier in my garage between some paint cans and oily rags and fire it up. No need to defrost the bird either, just drop it in and let it go.

 

what..........no industrial size lighter fluid available ?
