He really might have been a one read quarterback his rookie season. I watched a bunch of his games in 2012 and it seemed like he would hit his back foot on his drop and the ball would be out of his hands instantly. Lots of screens and dink and dunk stuff. His short range accuracy was really, really good so that kind of West Coast system fit him like a glove. The Redskins also had a monster rushing attack to lean on that season too.

Basically, a Mike Shanahan offense.

From what I've read, Dan Snyder probably should get a lot of the blame. He reportedly treated Griffin like he was untouchable and wasn't required to submit to coaches.

Maybe if he'd gone to a team with a better authority structure, this wouldn't have happened.

It's a possibility, but I think the day to day was more of an impact.

I personally think the knee injury is the root cause of his problems... he was a different QB his first season.

The 2nd year really tells you how good or bad a QB is because everyone has film on him. RG3 has been poo since year 2.

I don't think that RG III is back to 100% and he's pressing to make plays. If he gets an opportunity to play in the right system for him, he'll amaze.
