I hate flying...

When I was flying back to Knoxville from Sacramento a few weeks ago the turbulence was so bad that a lady started puking. I was scared shitless and thought we were going to crash.

This is why I take Amtrak or drive instead.

I flew out of Charlotte last Sunday in the rain. The takeoff felt like I was in a laundry machine. I've had plenty of rough landings, but I think that was easily my first rough takeoff.

Last time I flew to Johannesburg there was such a bad crosswind when we were landing that I could see down the runway from my window.  It felt like we were at a 30 degree angle to the runway.  The Pilot snapped the aircraft straight at just the last second and we had this amazingly soft landing but for the two minutes leading up to that everyone on the plane was puckered up so tight we were eating seat cushions with our sphincters.

So I was flying today and while we cruise at 33,000 feet captains informs passengers over speaker that left engine has a leak and we need to return to airport because it's dangerous and we unlikely to make it to our destination. We flew for 40 minutes out of 2 hour trip before returning back to airport...

I was flying from Melbourne to Sydney with one of the worst hangovers I've ever had a few weeks ago. We have begun our decent into Sydney, not but 10 minutes from landing, and they tell us that the weather is bad and we have to turn around and go back to Melbourne.

My friends in Sydney said there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Flying once with an awful hangover was bad enough, but doing the same flight 3 times in one day? Good lord.

Actually just had what was probably the worst flying experience of my life. Bangkok to Sydney with a connection in Singapore. Flew with some shitty Asian airline called "Scoot". The plane was late, then we sat on the runway for an hour with no AC in freaking Bangkok as they were loading cargo into the plane, like actual big container cargo. Then we fly a terrible flight with not enough space to even sit up straight. Get to Singapore late, they make us pay $40 for missing checkin for our connecting flight because for some reason they didn't check us in or give us a boarding pass for the connection despite it being the same exact airline. Then the near 8 hour flight red-eye from Singapore to Sydney had all of the shitty flight cliches. Crying babies, smelly old people, loud Asians, no leg room, no way to sleep because the neck/head support thing didn't exist, no entertainment, no complimentary food or drinks, etc.

TL;DR - Never fly Scoot.

Happened to me when we flew to Maui...  10 hours after we got married and I was pretty drunk, we flew to our honeymoon, the flight was 12 hours and when we got close to Maui, instead of landing we just start circling the island just so pilot can tell us he can't land and instead went to Honolulu, we sit the for 4 hours inside the airplane... they did not offer us food or drinks and they did not let us.  Then we went for another try and he was able to land with no problems.
