Some visual proof of how incompetent Carolina's coaching staff truly is.

I'll bite.

Fozz has run harder and with more purpose than anyone on this team.

Anyone who can say with a straight face that Fozzy has "run harder and with more purpose" than Stew is just plain hating on Stew.  It doesn't make sense from the eye test, and isn't even supported stat-wise (and not just this stat, but the overall stats).

Even Obi has equaled and outperformed Whitaker this season and over their careers respectively.

I never said he produced more than Stew has but Fozzy has been focused, decisive and determined. I haven't seen that out of "double trouble" in oh, about 5 years. Stew is the far superior RB but I'd rather have a guy with half the talent and twice the drive than all the talent and no will to use it.

well we got a whole defensive backfield of "lots of heart and no skill" so at least there's that.

The tragic thing with this thread is that the stat that you use to argue he should start is a stat that is padded by the fact that he does not start (tired defenders miss more).

Also, has Stu had one full week of practice in his career? Can the answer be that he cannot be trusted to hold up for a full game? And if you need to limit the carries, maybe the best way is not the use them up in the first drive against fresh defender?

Apples and oranges.  A hammer is a hammer no mater how fancy or plain, much like a running back.  DB's are quite possibly the most gifted athletes on the field at any given time, you cant just throw "jags" at that position.  It has been proven time and time again that RB's can be found any and everywhere.

This staff has reverted to the old John Fox tactic of continuing to try and force things that aren't working, in hopes of them starting to work.

I've never understood this hard-headedness.

Actually it is easy to understand.

To try something new at this point in the season and to have it succeed  would be tatamount to an admission that you screwed up half of the season.

Rivera and company have to go.

.Dwill can not run up the middle. He gets stopped with the first contact. He is better used running a sweep using his speed. Stewart and Fozzy have more power to run between the tackles .  That falls on  Shula making the right calls.  Play the players until they can't play anymore.  both Dwill and Stewart are past their prime.  The only thing keeping them on the team is the contracts  Hurnia gave them.  Look for Gettleman to shuttle them out as soon as possible.
