Romo has always been a good quarterback, but shouldered the missteps of the offensive line. Now that he has a line, people are noticing that he's better than they thought.

He's always been a good quarterback and any smart NFL fan realized that long ago. The line isn't the thing changing people's opinion. It's their record. Romo has always been a as-close-as-you-can-get-to-elite QB playing on a complete sh*t team but the 8-8 record every year made people think he was a choker. If not for Romo, those 8-8 teams would've been 4-12 or worse. Now he has a solid defense, an upgraded o-line and smarter play calling utilizing their strengths and they are winning and people are noticing.

Cam gets that protection at times...and when he does, he often excels.

The problem is consistency in pass protection and the fact that the Cowboys have a consistent run game as well to compliment it and give Romo good chances down field.

We don't need Romo's line. We need Romo's offensive coordinator. Or really ANY offensive coordinator worth a damn.

"Sometimes"? A broken clock is right twice a day.

Run game, pass protection...It all starts with the OL, unless Romo's OC is also a magician.

Sure, he went after a few D3 backups/prospects, but that's not exactly where you mine the kind of talent an O-line needs. I say this knowing full well that our last few top picks have been stellar and not wasted by any means, but second- and third-round O-lineman should at least be serviceable. It goes without saying that our choices have been horrible when it comes to the offensive "hogmollies" we so desire.

we built around Rivera and not Cam.so now, the truth of the matter is that we have no promising youth at offensive tackle to develop but the same can't be said for the defensive side of the ball.kinda reminds me of being a day late(Cam) and a dollar short (Rivera).
